Barclays New Frontiers

New Frontiers is an annual event hosted by Barclays, showcasing new innovations from the world of tech. In 2018 the theme was technology that was just over the horizon. Our idea for the main plenary was inspired by the world of si-fi. Each speaker emerged on stage through a central aperture, as though from just over the horizon. We also back-lit them, a classic trick used in si-fi movies to introduce a character from the future or a more advanced, alien culture. We also used AI to make the stage 'alive,' allowing the audience to interact and even converse with it.
